Throughout the week, two prestigious TV channels have shown many revealing reports on fake players’ agents who have been caught doing fraudulent practices. Telecinco, from Spain, and the BBC, from the United Kingdom, have done some research on the procedures of these agents who contact young players and offer them the opportunity to play for great European clubs in exchange for a sum of money. According to the reports, agents defraud young sportsmen as they take away their money as well as their dreams. In some cases, fake agents even threatened players who said they would call the police.

Hereby we include the
reports by Telecinco and the BBC for you to take precautions. From now on, you should not make any hasty
decisions and you should always ask experts for their advice before signing any
contract.
You can watch the mentioned
reports on these links:

It is really bad for agents; once they collect money from players, it is bad. It happens here in Africa, I mean in Nigeria., so I hope we do something soon.

I read the report and it is most educative to young illiterate African players who put pressure on agents to get them big clubs to play for without even playing for any local or known clubs. They see this avenue as a quick way to get to Europe but I want them to know that big clubs don't just sign players like that, so they should be careful of agents who promise getting them clubs in Europe without stress. Some players contact me to get them places in Arsenal or Barcelona, and I tell them for now I dont have such connections.I try to encourage my players to start from a lower league and if they are really good, soon big clubs will be after them.
However, this exposure is commendable. If players check the agents they deal with then they won't take long to end up in the 10 top clubs in the world. The have fewer teams too,so you must be exceptionally good to get a place.

I find it very interesting. This publication was in time. I am into the sport business as a scout and I know that we have a lot of fraudulent African agents, specially in the UK, in London area to be specific. Please I want Mybestplay to do everything possible to expose this criminals.

I think a genuine player agent would never ask players to part with their
money. I will like to advice young players who are anxious to play abroad
to be carefull because I myself do receive emails from such people asking me to pay 600 Euros for each player who wishes to play in the UK; I do ignore them after they demand that money. I think anyone cought should be punished.

I am an amateur player from Nigeria. I am worried about this report. I don't want to lose my dream...
kutesa jonathan (07.21.08 )
I am not suprised.
sunday patrick (07.21.08 )
many thanks to the person who got them. please, do more research. Here in Africa many agents take a lots of players out and dump them in the middle of nowhere. please don't allow them to be free. please, thanks

please, I will like you to take this case seriously; this so-called agents from Africa are not helping players. You can imagine what we went through in search of our career and it's all about money with them; after money has been paid we will not see them anymore. please, I am happy that they are fish out now; there're still a lot of them. I want to thank the person who did this job; may God bless him. thanks, Patrick
